Thailand Pavilion 2015 - Nourishing and Delighting the World

A long movie about Thailand Expo for Milano 2015... very interesting and well made... many explanations...

Thailand is preparing something great !!

Kazakhstan in Milano 2015 ? we're impatient to learn more...

Theme "The Land of Opportunities"

The Concept

In Kazakhstan, the ancestral connection between man and the environment is rooted in its traditional nomadic culture, characterized by a strong understanding of the environment, from the rational use of land and natural resources, and the vision of food as a gift to be offered and shared with others. This unique bond can be traced in its many traditions and customs and is reflected in its distinctive motto "such a large Country, of which we know so little."

The Kazakh pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, occupying a total area of 2,396 square meters, aims to introduce visitors to the theme of protecting natural and agricultural resources, culture and the idea of sustainable development, which is where the Country is clearly headed.

The interpretations of this gallery of themes populate the suggested route to visitors following thematic areas: "Welcome to Kazakhstan " (where visitors will be greeted by an introductory video), "Wheat" (where, through a dynamic diorama with its recreated typical landscape of fields of wheat, one of the most important natural resources for the country), "The management of water resources" (which, thanks to two large panoramic screens will present the major rivers and lakes stressing the importance of protecting biodiversity and fishing), "Products of Kazakhstan" (presenting visitors with the most characteristic produce, especially milk and horse meat and apples), "Astana Expo 2017" (a preview of some of the projects that the Exposition will be held in Astana in three years’ time on the theme "Future Energy").

Expo 2015 Milano... and Albania pavilion

Theme "Our Food, Our Story, Our Mystery…"

Concept

With its participation at Expo Milano 2015, Albania is strongly committed to the ambitions of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” and to create partnerships that will promote Albania’s traditional cultural identity and develop its agriculture and organic farming, with new measures of production and trade. Albania will participate inside the Bio-Mediterraneum Cluster, offering to the international visitorss a great opportunity to experience its natural beauty and its cuisine, but also, the productivity and creativity of its regions, its history and particular products.

Given its geographical position and mild climate, the cuisine of Albania represents a fusion of Mediterranean, Balkan and European influences, offering high nutritional value and unique flavors. The cuisine of this ancient land is rich and various as its history. Its gastronomy can be nominally divided according to its northern, central and southern regions, each offering traditional specialties and each with their own folklore. In Albania, food means pleasure, culture, conviviality and hospitality, a sacred virtue in Albania. Albanians say “my house is the house of my guest” and hospitality has been always be related to the idea of food, hearth and house.

Agricultural practices have very real consequences for people's lives, tackling adverse impacts like food-borne illnesses, groundwater pollution and soil depletion. Albania’s Pavilion therefore serves as a space for dialogue and discussion on future development and growth, aligned with identifying new consumer needs and production processes, and building an international network for tourism and investment opportunities.

Reinterpreting antique flavors of design and philosophy, Chelini made a new box of style tuning to the present in a very eclectic way. Every collection constantly features something new and exuberant, within a contest in which elegance and class, personality and handcrafting, firmly stand for Florence artistic solidity. Production is managed in a very meticulous way so that each phase is entrusted-- depending on the specification-- to artisans, whose freshman talent, has been molded by Chelini into handcrafting authorities.

Versatility has two faces
When it comes to “Made-in- Italy” expectations are high, and Chelini delivers.
Every creation suits each environment magnificently, adding a touch of glam and impeccable taste. Versatility doesn’t apply only to style: The custom- made feature plays a key role, so that dimensions fit into any contest, splendidly. Due to handcrafting, each and every single Chelini’s item,

History... remember Malaysia at Expo 2012 Yeosu

Here is the logo for Malaysia Pavilion. It employs 2 main elements - a stylised, 2-tone wave gives us immediately our "ocean" feel and is deliberately stylised to transition from blue to green, symbolising our harmonious connection between sea and land. It also flows and folds like a scarf would, alluding to the batik material Malaysia is so well known for.

Another element is the adorable icon, the mudskipper a creature that calls both the sea and the land its habitat that makes it a most suitable symbol for our Pavilion's own sea-land duality.

The Malaysia mascot for Expo 2012.

Given a "caricature-style" treatment, the mudskipper is transformed into a truly cute and appealing mascot, enhanced further by multi-coloured batik motifs. Say 'hi' to mudskipper.

Malaysia Pavilion will create a distinct impression from the onset. The front façade is designed to catch the eye from afar, strategically placed to "tap" the crowds and draw them to the Pavilion. Take a look at the Front Façade with its Giant Terengganu fishing boat (in progress) and what do you think about the design?

Malaysia stands proud as home to 77% of the world's coral ecosystems and as many as 612 coral species. Here in the Living Reef section at the very heart of our Pavilion, you can experience being at the bottom of a sea bed at the Aquatarium and watch various marine life swim by. In the section too, watch our Blue Ghost projection - a holographic presentation features a scuba diver who through the magic of Pepper Ghost technology, helps showcase local marine species, coral reef formations and provides basic species information. Here is part of The Living Reef section.

Slovenia pavilion... what about ?

Theme "I Feel Slovenia. Green. Active. Healthy"

The Concept

The vastness of its forest, the abundance of its lakes and streams, the charm of the sea and its coastlines, the wealth of its nature reserves, its variety of flora and fauna: during Expo Milano 2015, Slovenia looks to reflect the image of its outstanding natural beauty, ideal for an active and healthy life.

Its pavilion, which covers an exhibition area of 1,910 square meters, exemplifies the strong connection between a healthy environment and a healthy food produced locally, with methods that do not weigh on the ecosystem. Indeed, natural resources are the key to sustainable food and good quality of life.

Slovenia sets out to stimulate the visitor’s senses, offering a showcase of its culinary diversity. Although, in geographical terms, it is relatively small, the country has 24 gastronomic regions, and at Expo Milano 2015 visitors can sample wide array of delights for the palate, including wines. Vineyards are indeed a characteristic of a significant portion of the Slovenian territory.

Walking through the green areas, which are a key feature of the pavilion, visitors are reminded of its lush landscape and can take this opportunity to get to know Slovenia in all its glory.
