The winning project should recall the shapes of the traditional architecture, reinterpreting them in a contemporary way: the facility will be characterized by a roof of straw and some elements made of glass. From the first images can be clearly seen a wide terrace where there will be cultivated plants and there will be also a small lake with a grove of reeds, at the entrance of the pavilion.

The national pavilion will be built on an area of 887 square metres and will be placed at the core of the expository site near the pavilions of Italy, France, Israel and Mexico. «The exposition will highlight the national priorities in terms of sustainable agricultural biodiversity, renewable energies, regional development of the excellent centres, competitiveness and innovation. In addition the concept of the pavilion will underline the cultural uniqueness and prosperity of the national traditions», he website of the Ministry explains.
